The difference
Hire from the engineer who maintains it.
A hire desk hands you a machine and hopes. Sky-Arb is a workshop first: Andy services and repairs arb machinery for a living, and the same hands prepare everything that goes out on hire.
So a chipper leaving Unit 11 has been serviced, sharpened and checked by the person who will pick up the phone if it plays up on site. When it comes back, it gets the same again before the next job.
That is not a claim a pure hire company can make. It is just what happens when the owner is the mechanic.

- Towable chippers: sub-750 kg, road-legal behind a van or pickup.
- Tracked chippers: for tight access and soft ground.
- Pedestrian stump grinders: narrow-gate friendly, fresh teeth fitted.
- Day, weekend or week: hire boards and handover included.

Sharpening & parts
A proper edge,
ground in-house.
Chipper blades are ground true on our own Chippermaster, back to the factory angle, with the edge the maker intended. Blunt blades chew fuel, stress the machine and leave stringy chip. Sharp ones pay for themselves.
Stump-grinder teeth come back with a proper working edge, so you grind stump instead of polishing it.
Drop off and collect at Unit 11, Dewar Court, or ring and we'll sort collection.
Parts on the shelf: blades, belts, bearings, filters and teeth. If we haven't got it, we'll get it quick.
We service and sharpen the major arb brands: Först, Timberwolf, GreenMech, FSI and more. Brand names here mean we work on them, not that we sell them.
